Evan Legate
Evan is the Principal at Gateway Public Affairs. With over a decade and a half of experience, Evan is well versed in the Alberta political landscape.
Formerly, Evan was a partner at a leading national public affairs and communications firm, providing government relations and strategic communications support to clients. Prior to this, Evan spent time working in the Alberta legislature as an Assistant to the Minister of Energy, as well as working in various senior roles for PC Alberta, including as their Executive Director. Evan has also managed political campaigns at the provincial and municipal levels.
Evan is an active member in the community, serving as at the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Calgary Public Library, the Past Chair of the Board of Directors for the Epilepsy Association of Calgary, as a member of Board of Directors at the Calgary Public Library Foundation, and as a member of the Board of Governors at the Alberta University of the Arts.
In recognition of his contributions to the community, Evan was named one of Avenue Magazine’s 2022 Top 40 under 40, and was a recipient of a Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal.
